Making a plan
When you have decided that you are going to embark on work with dads you need to remember that preparation and planning will help you have the best chance of success.
You may work in a locality where working with dads is already central to the organisation’s objective, or you may be breaking new territory and trying to bring others along with you. The case studies give examples of activities that have been used to involve dads and their children in reading.

help colleagues, partners and managers understand the importance of the work and the part they need to play in getting good outcomes,
make sure the practical arrangements work

When starting to plan you need to consider the following key principles in developing a plan.
